It is illegal to discriminate against a person with a disability. Persons with disabilities cannot be harassed, passed over for promotion or retaliated against for complaining, in good faith, of disability discrimination.

To have a claim of disability discrimination/ failure to accommodate, you must have a condition that meets the legal definition of disability. You must also notify your employer of your need for special accommodations that you need to perform your job. If you and your doctor believe you can perform the essential functions of your job with accommodation, your employer must work with you and your doctor to provide that accommodation.
